This One's On Me ...because I wear it... and this one's on me because I give it.

Thank you so much for the beautiful gifts. The ladies white t-shirts you sent fit me perfectly. I am wearing your t-shirts to chemo each time and feeling more fortified than ever. I have two more chemo dates and then I am all done. I will wear a new color for each date.

I passed a black t-shirt on to a friend with breast cancer. I read your book and sent a second copy on to another friend of mine just diagnosed with breast cancer. And I gave a key necklace to each of my children so that they would be reminded of the most important things, and they are each wearing them.

Thank you for all your good thoughts and blessings.

I want to thank you for your book and the key necklace that went along with it. Wearing the “Be Willing To Receive” key everyday has had a big effect on me.

The reason why I came home from school early this spring was so I could get professional help with several neurological disorders: post traumatic stress, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, along with depression. Several of these disorders I have had for as long as I can remember. I always felt that it was just my lot in life to suffer through it quietly.

The “Be Willing To Receive” message has helped me swallow my pride and stubbornness to get some real help. It has helped me to accept peace, change, and healing into my life, and to receive the well-wishes of friends and family without mistaking it for pity or condescension. Extending this mantra into every aspect of my life, I have even forced down my natural suspicion of men to receive romantic attention and have started dating again.

Today, I have not had a panic attack in nearly a month whereas I used to be a daily occurrence. I truly feel that instead of losing myself, I am becoming my brighter, more perfect, inner self. My experiences have defined my life for far too long and I am now willing to receive and define myself for who I truly want to be.

Thanks for everything,

NS

I wear my necklace every weekend, and I feel like Superman each time I put it on.
